Zack Snyder has hinted that the “Snyder Cut” of Justice League may soon hit theaters. In a Vero post, Snyder advised fans to stay tuned for an announcement: “Want to see ZSJL on the big screen….stay tuned for a date.”
Justice League (2017) earned over $660 million but received poor reviews. In 2021, the “Snyder Cut” on HBO Max showcased Snyder’s vision and was better received by critics and fans. Snyder claimed the original release only showed a quarter of his work. He left the project due to his daughter’s death, with Joss Whedon completing the film.
The “Release the Snyder Cut” campaign was marked by toxicity, including harassment of critics and Warner Bros. staff. Despite this, Snyder noted that some fans used their passion to raise money for mental health causes, saving lives. “People’s lives were saved by the money those kids raised. Literal lives. Real, tangible lives were saved,” he said.
Snyder views his films as “markers of time” linked to personal events, including his daughter’s passing. Currently, Snyder is working on the Rebel Moon series for Netflix, with a director’s cut releasing in August. Fans have much to anticipate from his upcoming projects.
