For the first time, the LEGO Group’s Ultimate Collector Series (UCS) is set to launch the Khetanna, Jabba the Hutt’s iconic barge from Star Wars: Return of the Jedi. This highly anticipated set will be available in October and is designed specifically for advanced builders and Adult Fans of LEGO (AFOLs). It’s a detailed masterpiece that brings Jabba’s luxurious floating palace to life, ready for display or play.
The Khetanna set includes 11 minifigures, featuring beloved Star Wars characters like Jabba the Hutt, Princess Leia, C-3PO, R2-D2 (with a serving tray), Bib Fortuna, Max Rebo, and a fierce Gamorrean Guard. This marks the LEGO debut of characters like Vizam and Wooof, and others, like Max Rebo, have only been released on rare occasions.
Senior LEGO designer César Carvalhosa Soares shared that the design team took artistic liberties in reimagining elements not seen in the film, such as the top deck featuring hatches, cannons, and the barge’s iconic textile sails. The ship’s interior is packed with rich details, including a prison cell, a cockpit, Jabba’s quarters, and even a galley kitchen stocked with meat and cooking tools. One fun surprise? The kitchen hides recipes for dishes like Womp Rat Soup.
With 3,942 pieces, the Khetanna is a 30-inch-long LEGO masterpiece, designed for both display and play. Carvalhosa Soares teased several hidden Easter eggs scattered throughout the build, offering fans extra delights to discover as they assemble the set.
The Khetanna will be available for sale on October 6, with LEGO Insiders getting early access starting October 3 at LEGO.com. This stunning, highly detailed addition to the Ultimate Collector Series is sure to be a hit with LEGO and Star Wars fans alike.
