Darkseid:

The ruler of Apokolips, is one of the most formidable villains in the DC Universe. A New God obsessed with absolute power, he seeks the Anti-Life Equation to enslave all sentient beings. Towering in stature and nearly invincible, Darkseid wields the Omega Effect, unleashing devastating energy blasts capable of erasing foes from existence. His genius-level intellect, superhuman strength, and ruthlessness make him a cosmic tyrant feared across the multiverse. A master manipulator and conqueror, Darkseid views all life as tools for his domination, making him the ultimate embodiment of tyranny and an eternal threat to gods and mortals alike.

Thanos:

Thanos, the Mad Titan, is one of the most powerful beings in the Marvel Universe. Born on the moon of Titan as a member of the Eternals, he was shunned for his Deviant mutation and developed an obsession with death. Possessing immense strength, intelligence, and cosmic energy manipulation, Thanos has conquered worlds and waged war against the universe. His most infamous act was collecting the Infinity Stones to erase half of all life. A master strategist and relentless warrior, Thanos believes in imposing his twisted sense of balance on existence, making him one of the greatest threats to all life.

The Battle:

The sky above Apokolips churned with fire and smoke, casting a hellish glow over the war-torn wasteland. The planet, ruled by Darkseid, pulsed with raw energy, its surface cracked and scarred from millennia of war. Towering structures of obsidian and steel loomed in the distance, spewing plumes of dark energy into the air. Parademons circled above, their glowing red eyes scanning for threats.

And now, a threat had arrived.

A massive boom tube split the sky apart, and from within its blinding light stepped Thanos, the Mad Titan. Clad in his golden armor, his massive frame exuded power and confidence. His face bore a cold smirk, knowing he had finally come face-to-face with the one being in the multiverse that could match his might.

Across the battlefield, Darkseid emerged from the shadows of his citadel. His towering form was wreathed in a blue-gray aura of Omega energy, his piercing red eyes locking onto his challenger. He walked with the slow, deliberate steps of a god, each footfall shaking the ground beneath him.

“You dare set foot on Apokolips, Titan?” Darkseid’s voice rumbled like thunder.

Thanos cracked his neck. “You have something I want, Darkseid. The Anti-Life Equation. And I will have it.”

Darkseid’s lips curled into a snarl. “You are a fool to challenge me, Thanos. I am the end of all things. You will bow… or you will perish.”

Thanos clenched his fists, energy crackling around them. “Let’s test that theory.”

With a flick of his wrist, Darkseid unleashed the first attack. Twin beams of crimson Omega energy erupted from his eyes, zigzagging unpredictably through the battlefield. But Thanos, ever the warrior, was ready. He sidestepped one beam and raised a massive arm, letting the second explode against his armor. The force sent him skidding backward, but he remained standing.

Thanos grinned. “That all you got?”

With a deafening boom, Thanos launched himself forward, his massive fist colliding with Darkseid’s chest. The impact sent shockwaves across Apokolips, toppling war machines and shattering nearby structures. Darkseid staggered but countered immediately, swinging his fist into Thanos’s ribs. The Titan grunted as he was sent crashing into the ruins of a fiery tower.

From the wreckage, Thanos emerged, cracking his knuckles. “Not bad.”

Darkseid raised his hand, summoning an energy storm. Lightning crackled through the sky, striking Thanos from multiple directions. He roared in defiance, his skin smoldering but his body unbroken.

With a snarl, Thanos retaliated. He raised his hands and called upon cosmic energy, unleashing a torrent of pure power at Darkseid. The blast engulfed the warlord, creating a fiery explosion that tore through the landscape. But as the dust settled, Darkseid stood unharmed.

“You disappoint me,” Darkseid sneered before raising his hand. The ground beneath Thanos erupted, thick chains of black metal shooting up and coiling around the Titan’s limbs.

Thanos struggled, his immense strength bending the chains, but before he could break free, Darkseid appeared in front of him, his massive fist colliding with Thanos’s face. The Mad Titan was launched into the sky, crashing into a floating fortress miles away.

But Thanos was not one to be outdone.

With a furious roar, he tore through the fortress, grabbing an enormous chunk of its foundation and hurling it back at Darkseid. The makeshift projectile slammed into the New God, sending him skidding back.

Realizing that Apokolips could not contain their battle, Darkseid opened a massive boom tube, teleporting both of them into deep space. They materialized above a dying star, its crimson light flickering as solar flares erupted violently around them.

Thanos and Darkseid floated in the void, their massive frames silhouetted against the burning cosmos.

“You fight well, Titan,” Darkseid admitted. “But you lack vision. Power without purpose is wasted.”

Thanos snarled. “My purpose is absolute. To control all life. To reshape existence in my image.”

Darkseid scoffed. “A child’s ambition. You are not a god. You are merely… stubborn.”

Darkseid raised his hand and clenched his fist. The dying star behind them pulsed and then imploded in a cataclysmic supernova. Waves of cosmic fire rushed toward them.

Thanos, unphased, charged forward, his body colliding with Darkseid’s. They wrestled amid the firestorm, throwing planet-shattering blows at one another. Darkseid grabbed Thanos by the throat and hurled him into a nearby asteroid belt. The Titan smashed through countless space rocks before stopping himself.

Thanos gritted his teeth. Enough was enough.

He called upon all his might, summoning a cosmic maelstrom. Asteroids, radiation, and raw energy condensed into his fist as he launched himself toward Darkseid.

Darkseid, unimpressed, prepared his Omega Beams once more. As Thanos neared, the beams struck him, attempting to erase him from existence. But the Titan roared in defiance, pushing through the searing energy.

His fist connected with Darkseid’s face.

The shockwave that followed shattered planets in the distance.

Darkseid reeled from the blow, but before he could retaliate, Thanos pressed his advantage. Blow after blow rained down, cracking the New God’s armor, bruising his flesh. Darkseid grunted as he attempted to counter, but Thanos would not be stopped.

With one final strike, he sent Darkseid hurtling into a nearby moon, the impact splitting it in two.

Thanos landed on the shattered remains of the moon, looking down at Darkseid’s motionless form. The New God lay in a crater, his eyes dim, his body cracked and smoldering. For the first time in eons, Darkseid had been bested.

Thanos stood over him, breathing heavily. “You speak of purpose,” he muttered. “But in the end, strength decides fate.”

Darkseid’s red eyes flickered open. He smirked, despite his injuries. “Do not mistake this for victory, Titan. I… am inevitable.”

Thanos clenched his fists, knowing that this war would never truly be over. But for now, he had proven his might.

As he turned away, another boom tube opened, whisking him away into the void. Apokolips still burned in the distance, but its ruler had fallen—for now.

Darkseid slowly sat up, staring into the void where Thanos had disappeared. His lips curled into a cruel smile.

“This was but a battle,” he mused. “The war is far from over.”

But today, the Mad Titan stood triumphant.
