The final trailer for Minecraft: The Movie has arrived, and it’s bringing all the chaotic, pixelated fun you’d expect from a film set in the beloved block-building universe. Directed by Jared Hess (Napoleon Dynamite, Nacho Libre), this adventure-packed film from Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures looks like a wild ride that will have kids (and longtime Minecraft fans) buzzing with excitement.
The film stars Jason Momoa and Jack Black, taking audiences into the Overworld, a land where imagination is the key to survival. The story follows four misfits ”Garrett, Henry, Natalie, and Dawn” who are unexpectedly transported into the Minecraft universe through a mysterious portal. To make it back home, they’ll have to navigate this blocky wonderland, face off against menacing Piglins and Zombies, and learn the secrets of crafting from an unlikely expert: Steve (voiced by Black). Along the way, they’ll rediscover the creativity and courage they never knew they had.
The movie also features Emma Myers (Wednesday), Danielle Brooks (The Color Purple), Sebastian Eugene Hansen (Just Mercy), and Jennifer Coolidge.
Get ready to dig deep into adventure when Minecraft: The Movie hits theaters and IMAX on April 4, 2025!
