Dive into the enchanting world of Disney: Lorcana as the highly anticipated third set, “Into the Inklands,” graces major TCG stores and retailers today. Immerse yourself in a realm where ink unveils magical landscapes and transforms beloved characters. Here’s a comprehensive overview of what to expect in this latest addition to the Disney: Lorcana trading card game universe.

Storyline Continuation:

“Into the Inklands” unfolds its narrative after the events of “Rise of the Floodborn.” The surge of ink witnessed in the previous set has unveiled the mysterious and magical Inklands. This transformative ink now has the power not only to metamorphose characters but also to influence physical places in the Lorcana universe.

New Characters and Places:

Prepare to encounter iconic Disney characters like Peter Pan, Pluto, Scrooge McDuck, Piglet, and the debut of Treasure Planet, 101 Dalmatians, and Atlantis. Building on the success of “Rise of the Floodborn,” the Resist keyword makes a return in this set. However, the real excitement lies in the introduction of a new card type – Locations.

Card Variety:

This set boasts a total of 204 cards, spread across six different ink colors – Amber, Steel, Sapphire, Emerald, Amethyst, and Ruby. The cards come in various forms, including foils, uncommons, and enchanted rares. Promo cards are also available at special events and conventions featuring Disney Lorcana.

Starter Decks:

For those eager to dive into the game immediately, “Into the Inklands” offers pre-built starter decks. Each deck comprises 60 cards, including two foil cards, 11 game tokens, a quickstart book featuring game rules, and an “Into the Inklands” booster pack. Players can choose between two starter decks, each aligned with specific ink colors and featuring beloved characters.

Location Cards:

A new gameplay mechanic, Location cards, adds depth to the strategy. Unlike other cards, Location cards become active immediately upon play, eliminating the need to wait for a turn. Characters placed on a Location gain abilities directly from the card or activate specific abilities. Lore is gained passively from active Location cards.

Challenges and Dynamics:

Characters on Location cards cannot be moved unless onto another Location card. Opponents can challenge Location cards, banishing them from the table by dealing more damage than their willpower. Characters placed on a banished Location card return to the table without the effects gained.

“Into the Inklands” introduces Character cards whose abilities hinge on being placed on Location cards, adding an exciting layer to the gameplay dynamics of Disney: Lorcana. Explore the magical world that unfolds within the ink, where stories come to life, and characters take on new dimensions.
