The battle is about to begin once again. Warner Bros. and New Line Cinema have officially launched the marketing campaign for Mortal Kombat II with the release of the film’s first teaser poster. The striking image not only showcases the sequel’s bold logo but also gives fans their first look at Karl Urban stepping into the role of the legendary Johnny Cage.
Set to hit theaters on October 24, 2025, Mortal Kombat II marks the return of director Simon McQuoid, working from a screenplay by Jeremy Slater (Moon Knight, The Exorcist). The sequel promises to expand the Mortal Kombat universe with an exciting mix of returning cast members and fresh faces.
Joining Urban as Johnny Cage are Tati Gabrielle as Jade and Adeline Rudolph as Kitana, alongside franchise newcomers Martyn Ford, Desmond Chiam, Ana Thu Nguyen, and Damon Herriman. Fan-favorite fighters like Liu Kang, Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Sonya Blade, and Raiden are also set to return.
With its first official poster setting the tone, Mortal Kombat II is gearing up to bring the brutal, action-packed world of Outworld and Earthrealm back to the big screen in epic fashion.
