Warner Bros. has unveiled the first trailer for The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim, a new anime feature directed by Kenji Kamiyama. This film dives into the epic saga of the House of Helm Hammerhand, bringing fans back to the enchanting world of Middle-earth.
Presented by The Lord of the Rings director Peter Jackson, The War of the Rohirrim offers a fresh, animated perspective on J.R.R. Tolkien’s legendary universe. The film will be released in theaters by New Line Cinema, marking a return to the iconic landscapes and stories previously brought to life in the original trilogy.
Directed by Kenji Kamiyama, known for Blade Runner: Black Lotus, the film features an impressive voice cast. Brian Cox leads as Helm Hammerhand, the formidable King of Rohan, with Gaia Wise portraying his daughter Héra, and Luke Pasqualino as Wulf. Miranda Otto reprises her role as Éowyn, serving as the film’s narrator.
The voice ensemble also includes talents like Lorraine Ashbourne, Yazdan Qafouri, and Shaun Dooley, among others. The executive production team includes Fran Walsh, Peter Jackson, and Sam Register.
