A new TV spot and poster for Joker: Folie À Deux have been released, offering a fresh glimpse into the highly anticipated sequel. The spot confirms that Harvey Dent will appear in the film, portrayed by Harry Lawtey (Industry). In the footage, Dent comments on how Arthur Fleck (Joaquin Phoenix) poses a threat to society.
In the film, Arthur is institutionalized in Arkham, grappling with his identity as the Joker while awaiting trial for his crimes. Amid this turmoil, he finds love and discovers a musical talent within himself. Arthur’s connection with Quinn (Lady Gaga) blossoms into a journey filled with both violence and melody, as the movie is set to be a musical.
The cast also includes Catherine Keener, Jacob Lofland, and Brendan Gleeson in undisclosed roles. Joker: Folie Á Deux is scheduled for release on October 4, 2024.
