The Justice League has been absent from the DC Universe since 2022’s Dark Crisis event. However, with the world in chaos due to the events of Absolute Power, the iconic team is making a triumphant return. Announced at San Diego Comic-Con, the new ongoing series, Justice League Unlimited, will be penned by writer Mark Waid and illustrated by Dan Mora.

This revived Justice League features some of DC’s biggest heroes: Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, and The Flash, alongside Martian Manhunter, Captain Atom, Black Lightning, and Star Sapphire. Notably, the series will introduce a new and improved satellite Watchtower, featuring docking stations, Quarters of Solitude, a Boom Tube, and a portal to the Phantom Zone.

The first issue’s cover art also teases the involvement of Darkseid, who is set to reclaim his status as “the greatest villain in the DCU,” according to Scott Snyder.
Justice League Unlimited will be set in the core DCU, launching this November. Additionally, the panel revealed the fourth book in DC’s Absolute Universe line: Absolute Flash, written by Jeff Lemire and illustrated by Nick Robles, set to debut in March 2025.
