Netflix has just dropped the first teaser for its upcoming Splinter Cell: Deathwatch anime series, developed in collaboration with Ubisoft. Starring Liev Schreiber as Sam Fisher, the show is based on the beloved espionage video game series.
Splinter Cell follows Sam Fisher, a former U.S. Navy SEAL turned black ops agent, working for the government’s covert division, “The Fourth Echelon.” The series is penned by John Wick and Falcon and the Winter Soldier writer Derek Kolstad, who also serves as executive producer.
Since its debut in 2002, Splinter Cell has captivated fans with its stealth-based gameplay, spawning six sequels and multiple novels. The anime promises to bring that same intensity to the screen, with animation studios Sun Creature and Fost at the helm.
The series has received a two-season, 16-episode order, offering fans a fresh take on Fisher’s dark, thrilling world. Keep an eye out for more updates!
