Lucasfilm has unveiled several new photos for its highly anticipated series, Star Wars: Skeleton Crew, directed by Jon Watts, renowned for the Spider-Man trilogy. The series promises to be a thrilling ride, described as “a galactic version of classic Amblin coming-of-age adventure films of the ’80s.”

The storyline centers on four young kids from a small planet who get lost in the expansive Star Wars galaxy and embark on a perilous journey to find their way back home. The concept was pitched to Lucasfilm as “Goonies in Star Wars,” emphasizing that while the series stars four children, it is far from being a kid’s show.

The official synopsis reads: “When four kids make a mysterious discovery on their seemingly safe home planet, they get lost in a strange and dangerous galaxy. Finding their way home, meeting unlikely allies and enemies will be a greater adventure than they ever imagined.”

The young adventurers are portrayed by Ravi Cabot-Conyers, Kyriana Kratter, Robert Timothy Smith, and Ryan Kiera Armstrong. The show boasts a stellar lineup of directors including Bryce Dallas Howard, The Daniels, David Lowery, Jake Schreier, and Lee Isaac Chung. Additionally, The Mandalorian’s Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni are on board as executive producers.
Set to premiere on Disney+ this Christmas, Star Wars: Skeleton Crew is shaping up to be an epic adventure for fans of all ages.
