Twisted Metal came out on July 27th on Peacock TV. The show is one of the few examples that if you stick with the formula that made it a successful video game series, it will also translate to TV just as well. The main characters in the first season is Anthony Mackie’s character John Doe and Stephanie Beatriz’s Quiet. I would assume that they would be returning in the second season. Here are the top 10 characters that i would like to see in season 2.
1. Sweet Tooth
The iconic character from the “Twisted Metal” video game series, has a twisted and disturbing backstory. Born as Marcus “Needles” Kane, Sweet Tooth’s life took a dark turn when he was a young actor. He felt he was upstaged by his co-star….a dog. Not being able to sustain the criticisms and ridicule. The young Kane snapped and he killed the dog in front of the live audience and the world watching. These traumatic experiences scarred him deeply, leading him down a path of madness.
Haunted by his past, Marcus developed a dual personality – one that was his seemingly innocent clown persona, and the other a sadistic, bloodthirsty killer. He adorned himself with a clown mask and fiery hair, becoming the sinister “Sweet Tooth.” His obsession with ice cream trucks became a deadly symbol, as he transformed them into terrifying vehicles of destruction.

The eerie and mysterious character with a porcelain mask, adding a touch of horror to the game. We did find out that she is John Doe’s sister at the end of Season 1. What plans does she have in Season 2?

6. Agent Stone
Before the apocalypse, Stone was a beat cop in Topeka, Kansas. He was often disrespected and despised by the town, commonly mistaken for a mall cop.
During the apocalypse, he was robbed by his neighbors for weapons. Another then asked for help dealing with looters holed up in a restaurant. When he confronted them, they continued to insult him by calling him a mall cop. Stone then retaliated by firing at the looters in a blind rage, later realizing he had gunned down a child hiding under the table.
By 2022, Stone had become leader of a police force enforcing draconian law to citizens outside the walls. Last time we see him he had an axe on his jaw and was given a choice to die now or die later and was seeing him put a gun up to his head and hear the gunshot from afar. Did he really do it? A proud man like Stone……..i highly doubt it.
7. Warthog
Warthog is a recurring vehicle in the Twisted Metal series, and is one of the thirteen original vehicles. Warthog has always had strong armor and poor speed in almost all installments of the Twisted Metal series.
The drivers of Warthog have been mostly those who have served or are affiliated with the armed forces through most of the Twisted Metal franchise except in Twisted Metal: Black.
8. Preacher
Preacher was originally a pious religious leader, but the events of the apocalypse led him to lose the faith and become leader of hedonistic ravagers known as “Holy Men”.
During one night in 2022, Preacher arrived at a Holy Man camp demanding tribute. While he was presented with weapons, drugs and resources, he quickly grew bemused at once again receiving such items. However, his spirit was lifted when one of his followers presented him with Evelyn. When he declared his intent to fornicate with the car, John Doe, in disguise as a Holy Man, challenged him for it. Preacher proved to be a very formidable fighter and bested John, ordering him to be detained and later crucified. When John breaks free and tries to get Evelyn, Preacher catches him at gunpoint. As John parries his weapon, a stray round hits his car’s gas tank before they fight. Before Preacher could finish John off, the fuel leak caught fire, destroying Evelyn and incapacitating the both of them. His followers rescued him and fled the camp.
When Calypso was forming the brackets for the first Twisted Metal Tournament, Preacher was the first among his choices.
9. Grasshopper
Krista Sparks is a rebellious teen with an exxxtreme ’90s attitude who drives the dune buggy Grasshopper. She is the daughter of Twisted Metal’s magical host Calypso, who seemingly died in the same car accident that scarred his face.
Turns out she did die but was turned into a bomb by the LAPD so she could get close to Calypso and finally end his violent tournament. She makes this list because she has by far one of the most emotionally effective endings in the entire series as Calypso holds her close before they both blow up. It greatly humanizes him, but also humanizes her as well – giving her a vulnerability and relatability that her outward appearance (and the time period she was created in) wouldn’t have necessarily suggested.
10. Mr Slam
Mr. Slam, debuting in Twisted Metal 2, was a yellow construction vehicle who would grab opponents with its large front lifter and, uh, slam them to the ground until they exploded (hence the name). In all the Twisted Metal games Mr. Slam is the alias for Simon Whittlebone, a crazed architect who wishes to create the tallest building in existence.
Mr. Slam ultimately makes this list, simply for how awesome his special move is. While you do have to drive up close to your opponents to use it, it’s extremely devastating once you do.
